Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GPEX-Cloud ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

GPEX-Cloud provides cloud storage services for the OpenGPEX image editor. The Service currently includes:

  • Cloud File Storage — Save, load, and manage .gpex project files in the cloud
  • User Authentication — Account creation and sign-in via third-party OAuth providers (Google)

The OpenGPEX editor itself is a separate open-source project (GPL-3.0) and is not governed by these terms.

3. User Accounts

  • You must authenticate via a supported OAuth provider to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must not share your account or allow unauthorized access.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to circumvent storage quotas or rate limits
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or conduct attacks
  • Reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the Service infrastructure
  • Use automated tools to bulk-upload or stress-test the Service without permission

5. Storage & Quotas

  • Each account is subject to storage quotas as displayed in your dashboard.
  • Files that exceed quota limits will be rejected.
  • We do not guarantee permanent storage. You are responsible for maintaining local backups of your files.

6. Your Content

  • You retain full ownership of all files you upload to GPEX-Cloud.
  • We do not access, view, analyze, or sell your file contents.
  • We store your files solely to provide the Service back to you.
  • You may delete your files at any time via the dashboard.

7. Service Availability

  • GPEX-Cloud is provided "as-is" without guarantees of uptime or availability.
  • We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily disrupt the Service.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

8. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
  • Upon termination, your stored files may be deleted after a reasonable grace period.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind.
  • We are not liable for any data loss, corruption, or damages arising from use of the Service.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service (if any).

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These terms apply to the GPEX-Cloud service only. The OpenGPEX editor is governed by its own GPL-3.0 license.
