Cloud Storage

How to use GPEX-Cloud to save, load, and manage your projects from any device.

Getting Started

  1. Click the Cloud icon in the header
  2. Click Sign In / Up to authenticate
  3. Once signed in, the Cloud menu shows your email, storage usage (100 MB free), and project actions

Saving & Syncing

Click Sync to Cloud in the Cloud menu to upload your current project.

The editor serializes the active frame (state + all image assets) into a .gpex binary container and uploads it with a generated thumbnail.

Status Indicators

Sync state is tracked per frame via history-based dirty detection ('SYNCED' | 'LOCAL_AHEAD' | 'NEVER_SAVED' | 'OFFLINE'):

Status Meaning
Local only Never saved to cloud (Upload)
Unsaved changes Local modifications since last sync (Sync)
Synced Up-to-date with cloud (shows the saved revision, e.g. "Synced Rev 3")
Offline Cloud service unavailable

Cloud Gallery

Open via Cloud menu → Cloud Gallery (requires sign-in; grid or list view):

  • Open: Load a project into the editor (v1 projects only — v2 projects are greyed out)
  • Share: Create a share link and copy the URL
  • Delete: Remove from cloud (with confirmation)

Conflict Resolution

If you try to load a cloud project that conflicts with your active local project (same frame ID), a warning dialog prevents accidental overwrite. You can choose to Overwrite or Cancel.
